Elections 2015: PDP Set For Strategic Meeting

As the race to the 2015 general elections hots up, political parties are at the latter stages of their preparations for the polls.

As part of last minute efforts to perfect the wrongs, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Muazu has summoned President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark and Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus to a meeting.

Also to attend the meeting are the Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih, Director- General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, PDPPCO and former National Chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Ali; former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Chief Olabode George, Chief Godswill Akpabio, Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum; Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; and Retired Brigadier General James Arogbofa, Chief of Staff to the President.


The meeting which is under the aegis of National Campaign Council, NCC which has Muazu as the Chairman would hold tomorrow at the Wadata Plaza, National Secretariat of the PDP, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Meanwhile, the PDP has stated that Mu’azu, has an excellent working relationship with President Jonathan ahead of the forthcoming presidential election.

The party gave the assurance last week in a statement after reports surfaced in some sections of the media that Mu’azu was under watch by the presidency because his loyalty to Jonathan’s re-election is in doubt.
