The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and African Independent Television (AIT) have made a u-turn as they praised Muhammadu Buhari since he emerged the winner of Nigeria’s just-concluded presidential poll.
The two media sources were instrumental in the publication of defamatory documentaries of the now president-elect, Buhari.
The NTA for example has updated the profile of the general to read “as a Colonel, between 1979 and 80, the no-nonsense soldier acquired a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States of America.”
In turn, AIT has been playing and replaying congratulatory messages on Buhari’s win.
The ruling PDP recently accused General Buhari of not having the suitable education for running in the presidential election.
The former military ruler was forced to hold a press conference on January 21, 2015, as the army denied being in possession of his academic credentials.
AIT aired the documentary “The Real Buhari”, about his life and past military regime.
