Awofisayo Lauds Aregbesola’s Recognition For Traditional Institutions.

The President, Oranmiyan Group Worldwide, Prince Felix Awofisayo, has commended the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola in the State of Osun for according traditional institutions the respect they deserve.

He spoke at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, recently during the commissioning of Ife Traditional Chiefs’ Meeting House, renovated by the Executive Secretary, Ife-Central Local Government Council, Dr Taiwo Olaiya.

According to him, since Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s assumption of office over two years ago, indications have emerged that the administration knows the importance of culture and tradition in the development of the state and the nation in general.

Awofisayo stressed that the renovation of the building by the council authority has also shown that those at the helm of affairs at the local government council level are following Aregbesola’s path in giving required recognition to traditional institutions.

He said: “It is important for our traditional rulers and chiefs to live in befitting environments and that is why Aregbesola-led administration is giving deserved recognition to traditional institutions must be commended.

“The renovation of this meeting house is another welcome development that will go a long way in showing Ile-Ife as the source of Yoruba race”, he said.

He then charged the people of the ancient town to embrace the current administration in Ife Central Local Government Council and that of Aregbesola’s good governance efforts, so as to ensure that their efforts aimed at transforming the state, do not stop.

The Ooni of while addressing those in attendance, stated that he was not surprised at the decision of the Ife Central Council Authority to give the deserved recognition to traditional institution, because the administration of Aregbesola is doing more.

Represented by the Lowa Adimula of the Source, Chief Joseph Ijaodola, the monarch applauded the renovation of the meeting house, just as he extolled the leadership quality of Awofisayo, whom, he said, has contributed to the achievements recorded in the council area.

In his remark, the Action Congress Chairman (ACN) in the council area, Mr Gabisiyu Olaobaju, said that the newly-executed project was another assurance that the ACN-led government has passion for traditional rulers and every other section of the citizenry.
