The Rector of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Professor Oludele Itiola, has said that the institution will continue to do exploit in contributing its quota to the development of technology in the country.

The Rector noted this in his address during the matriculation ceremony of the newly admitted students for the 2015/2016 academic session, held at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel auditorium.

The Rector noted that students of the institution had continued to engage in the production of solar-powered streetlights, tricycles, kerosene-petrol combing generating set, fuel-less generating set, electronic ballot boxes among others.

Professor Itiola said the school stood out from its contemporaries in terms of programmes accreditation, saying the institution could favourably compete with others and come out as champions.

Itiola also counselled the students to shun any campus vices that could undermine their academic programme, emphasising that the institution would not hesitate to expel anyone found culpable engaging in indecent dressing, examination malpractices, stealing, cultism, fighting and thuggery.

His words: “We shall not hesitate to show you the doors if you are found culpable of these and others as indicated in your students’ handbook. I implore you to associate yourselves with a number of management approved societies and associations, which, as good students, you are eligible and encouraged to join.

“On our part, we shall continue to ensure a better academic environment with modern teaching aids and facilities,” he added.

He, however, advised the new students to be focussed committed and ensure discipline, so as to attain the height of excellence and remarkable achievements.
