Students Beg Kogi University Lecturers To End 3-Month Strike.

Students of Kogi State origin in tertiary institutions, have appealed to lecturers in Kogi State University, Ayangba, to call off their three months old strike.
The students, under the aegis of National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), made the appeal on Tuesday in Lokoja during a press conference.

Electricity Problem Soon To Be Over As 75MW Solar Power Project Starts Working Next Year.


Nigeria’s 75 mega watts power project valued at $146 million will be commissioned next year if things go according to plan. 
 
This is part of the Solar Power Purchase Agreement, PPA signed by the Federal Government and Pan Africa Solar, recently at the office of the Nigeria Bulk Energy Trader, NBET. The 75MW solar photovoltaic power project located in Katsina State, expected to be commissioned in 2017, will sell power for a tariff of 11.5 US cents per kWh.

A Mobile Court has convicted 49 drivers for violation of road traffic regulations during a special patrol in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area, Kaduna State, by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

FRSC Legal Officer, Kaduna Sector Command, Mr Ibrahim Tanko, disclosed on Tuesday that the offenders were convicted by mobile court after their arrest.
