Islam Believes Jesus is coming Back – Imam Saheed.

The Imam of Federal College of Technology, Yaba Mosque, Imam Saeed Salmon has revealed that Islam also believes in the second coming of Jesus Christ, emphasising that any Muslim who does not believe in it is not a true follower of the teachings of Prophet Muhammed.

The second coming of Jesus Christ is a doctrine that every Muslim must believe.

The teachings of prophet Muhammed talks extensively about this.

“The Qua’ ran Chapter 4:157-159 teaches this but the teachings of Islam does not support that Jesus was killed or resurrected, rather, he was raised by Almighty Allah to his majesty.

“Jesus is coming again to refute the claim of the Jews that he was crucified and to correct the doctrine of the Christians that he is the son of God…

“Again, the second coming of Jesus is to establish that there is a close relationship between Prophet Muhammed and Jesus himself.”

Salmon, who made this known at a special lecture held at the Lagos Central Mosque, Tinubu, said, Jesus is a messenger of God and claimed that Christ would return to a mosque in Damascus.

The Chief host and organiser of the lecture, Amir Ajala Kamardeen noted that he is under the obligation as a true Muslim to educate the public
and to correct any misconception about Islam.

But why will our Lord Jesus Christ return to a mosque in Damascus?

Wiz Khalifa Arrested For Posession Of Weed.

Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa was arrested early Sunday morning at an airport in Texas … after a “green leafy substance” was found during a check.

The “We Dem Boyz” rapper was flying from El Paso to Dallas when TSA officials discovered the green stuff … according to law enforcement sources.   Wiz was taken into custody and  turned over to local police.

Cops concluded the obvious — the leafy substance was marijuana — and that’s against the law in those parts … so he was arrested.

Cops say he was in possession of 0.5 grams of weed.

Wiz is obviously not that concerned … he tweeted a jail selfie.

This Ghana witch doctor says he’s responsible for C Ronaldo’s injury.

kwaku_bonsam
 Kwaku Bonsam

A well known Ghanaian spiritualist named Kwaku Bonsam (pictured below) claims he is responsible for Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury. Last week, the Portuguese striker was diagnosed with tendonitis in his left kneecap area, he also has a muscle problem in his left thigh.

Bonsam now claims he used witchcraft to give Ronaldo the muscle problems to prevent him from playing against Ghana in the world cup. Ghana, Portugal, USA and Germany are in Group G.

“I said it four months ago, that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup, or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana, and the best thing I can do is to keep him out through injury. I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called ‘Kahwiri Kapam.”

The witch doctor said yesterday on Ghanaian radio.

He says Ronaldo won’t be cured in time for the world cup

“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury, because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day, and it is something else.”
Lol. is it that serious? I guess it is to some. Get well soon Ronaldo! We need you at the world cup.

Some say Nollywood is synonymous to scandal. One thing is sure, scandals are part of the entertainment industry. While some of the scandals may not really be true, some are actually over blown by the media.

Here are the worst scandals that shook Nollywood to the core in no particular order.

Buhari, Osinbajo Keep Promise, Declare Their Assets.

President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, have fulfilled their first promise as they both have declared their assets.
According to The Nation, the two officials submitted their declarations to the Code of Conduct Bureau 24 hours before the inauguration ceremony held on May 29.
Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari’s media aide, confirmed the development, saying that the Bureau had acknowledged the forms’ receipt.

“The Nigerian Constitution states in Chapter VI Section 140, that a person elected to the office of President shall not begin to perform the functions of that office until he has declared his assets and liabilities as prescribed in the Constitution.

“While seeking election into the highest office in the land, the president had promised Nigerians that he would publicly declare his assets as soon as he took over government.”
However, the Leadership newspaper adds online that the content of the declarations was not provided.

The Punch claims with reference to expert opinion that Buhari has not done anything spectacular, because the details of the document were not made public.
During his electoral campaign, the APC candidate hit the headlines by making a sensational promise:
“I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liabilities, encourage all my appointees to publicity declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment,” Buhari said.

It should be noted that Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan, last year refused to declare his assets, insisting that he did so while deputy to the late Musa Yar’Adua.
It was also reported last week that Jonathan and Sambo had been ordered to submit their declarations within 30 days.

New governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong (APC).
May 29 marked a new beginning for Nigeria as President Muhammadu Buhari took over the mantle of leadership from former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

However, with the economy of the country grounded, it is very much imminent to see President Buhari face the challenges of unpaid salaries just like the oil marketers strike that led to the devastating fuel scarcity.
But just as it is at federal level, the challenges of unpaid salaries have also spread it tentacles to the state level as many of the new governors will have to prepare for the task of huge debts and monthly wage bills.

In this regard, an investigation by Daily Trust has revealed that many states have continued to struggle to pay salaries as a result of the dwindle revenue of the federation account.
The 3 months investigation has shown that 7 states are largely affected by this grounded economy as huge wage crisis and debts await these newly sworn in governors.

* Plateau (Governor Simon Lalong)

Plateau is by far the most affected state in terms of unpaid salaries. According to the investigation, 6,000 workers are owed 6 months’ salary arrears
The Plateau State Government has 16,000 workers on its payroll, to whom the government is committed N1.7 billion monthly wage.
The state civil service’s staff strength was roughly 21,000 until the early part of 2013 when a biometric data capture exercise unearthed 5,000 ghost workers, purging the bloated workforce of the nonexistent workers.
Salary payment for the workers has not been coming for six months now, and the workers, coordinated by their mother union, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), are out on an industrial action now, refusing to do any work until the piled-up salary arrears are cleared.

The Plateau State workers began their strike earlier this month, Tuesday May 5, following an unheeded 7-day ultimatum on the state government to settle not only six months of unpaid salaries but to also address other issues over which the workers, acting always through the NLC, had been battling the state government for years.

* Abia (Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu)

7 Governors Face Humongous Debts, Wage Crisis (PHOTOS)
Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, new governor of Abia state.
In Abia State, some workers have continued to express disgust over the unpaid wages and appealed to the state government to clear all the outstanding debts. This is a problem which new governor Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu will have to deal with.

* Oyo (Governor Abiola Ajimobi)

Investigations carried out shows that the 40,000 workers on the payroll of Oyo State Government are currently being owed their March and April 2015 salaries.
In the same vein, pensioners in the state are groaning in silence over the non-payment of their entitlements which have also spanned two months.
But the state government has anchored its inability to pay on the reduced fiscal allocation from the federation account, claiming that while the wage bill in January, for instance, was about N5.3billion, federal allocation was about N2.3billion.

* Kwara (Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed)

7 Governors Face Humongous Debts, Wage Crisis (PHOTOS)
 Kwara (Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed)

Kwara has consistently grumbled over the dwindling federal allocation which has shrunk its capacity to carry out its programmes. The state government revealed that its allocation has dropped drastically from N3.2bn in 2011 to about N2.3bn.
Out of over N3.1bn hitherto being received by the government before the allocation began to dip, payment of workers’ salaries and other monthly commitments stood at about N2.8bn.
However, while the monthly commitments, especially the payment of salaries of the state’s 13, 000 civil servants remain N2.8bn, the federal allocation coming to the state was said to have declined below the amount expended in payment of salaries.

* Kogi (Governor Idris Wada)

7 Governors Face Humongous Debts, Wage Crisis (PHOTOS)
 Kogi (Governor Idris Wada)
In Kogi State, the strength of the staff is put at 22,000, while the monthly wage bill stands at N3.2 billion. The staff strength in local government areas is put at 26,542, while the monthly wage bill of workers as at March stands at N1.5 billion. The 33,000 teachers receive N1.3 billion wage.  Investigations show that the workers were yet to receive April salaries as at May 12, 2015.

* Benue (Governor Samuel Ortom)

Benue (Governor Samuel Ortom)
The Benue State government is undoubtedly facing a major challenge of unpaid salaries of civil servants. The new government will grapple with a huge debt profile left behind by the Gabriel Suswam administration.
It was gathered that the primary school teachers are being owed at least five months salaries estimated at between N8bn and N10bn. About 20,000 workers who had been collecting irregular salary  for over eight months are also being owed three or four months’ arrears.

* Osun (Governor Rauf Aregbesola)

Osun (Governor Rauf Aregbesola)
In Osun State, Governor Rauf Aregbesola has been finding it difficult to pay the salaries of workers in recent months. The Director of Bureau of Communication and Strategy in the governor’s office, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, attributed the non-payment of salaries to the federal government’s non-remittance of statutory allocations to the state government.

He will also receive a motor vehicle loan at 400 per cent of his basic salary which is N12, 126, 290; to be repaid at the expiration of his tenure.
The salaries and allowances are drawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

The current salary structure and allowances were fixed by the RMAFC in 2007.

Before the review, the basic annual salary of the then president, Olusegun Obasanjo, was N2,586,000 per annum, while that of his deputy, Atiku Abubakar was N1,938,000 the same as that of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the Senate President, both heads of the judiciary and the legislature.

This was as a result of the review of the salary structure and associated allowances for the top federal public office holders earlier carried out by the National Salaries and Wages Commission.
This followed the review of the salary structure and associated allowances for the top federal public office holders earlier carried out by the National Salaries and Wages Commission.

That review, which took effect on May 1, 2000, was contained in a memo SWC.04/S.1/Vol.1V/186 dated May 15, 2000 and signed by G.P.O. Chikelu, the then Chairman of the Commission.

God Chose Us To Make Nigeria Prosper - Osinbajo
Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo
The just sworn-in vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, believes that the new administration led by Muhammadu Buhari is an evidence that God plans to heal Nigeria.

Speaking on May 30, Saturday, at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, Osinbajo added that God’s purpose was to build the nation to be admired and respected by the whole world, The Punch reports.
“I thank the great and mighty God who has chosen me at this time by Himself to assist the President of this nation.
“His plan is to make Nigeria a nation that will be admired and respected amongst the nations of the earth.

“This will be done by ensuring that corruption is eradicated and resources meant for all are not cornered by a few, but are used according to law, justice and equity for the benefit of all.
“The Lord wants a nation ruled only in accordance with law and justice, where the guilty are punished and the good is rewarded. This links to President Muhammadu Buhari’s inaugural speech yesterday (Friday). Surely, you will agree that he emphasised these three clear designs of God,” Osinbajo said.

Meanwhile, the new president and his vice have already declared their assets, having fulfilled one of their campaign promises. This was officially stated by Buhari’s media aide, Mallam Garba Shehu.

I was ready to help Jonathan but he underrated me – Tinubu boasts.

tinubu
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
National Leader of the governing party the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that former President Goodluck Jonathan lost the election because he belittled his political might and prowess. Tinubu made this disclosure during the inauguration of the new government of Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja.

Speaking to selected journalists, Tinubu said, “Jonathan failed to recognize the political experience of some powerful politicians including himself who tried to correct him (Jonathan) when things were going bad but he chose to maintain deaf ears and followed the advice of those who ran down his government.

“Jonathan had the opportunity to turn things around when some of us offered him advice and were even ready to help him succeed but he turned us down. He actually underrated my political experience and might“, begins Tinubu

“At some point I was willing to help salvage him government the very bad situation his administration threw the country into but he shunned my advice and decided to see me as an opponent who did not mean well for him. today he has his fingers burnt and his mind full of regret. You don’t buy experience. He was not yet a politician when some of us were busy fighting the military through NADECO and other democratic platforms.

His experience and situation should serve as a lesson to other politicians. You don’t throw away experience or buy it. You must always listen to people who have something to offer going by what they have seen or experienced. He belittled my advice and saw me as a threat. He underestimated my political strength. He has paid the prize in a rather bitter way. Jonathan is not a bad leader as an individual but when you surround yourself with people with little or no political experience you get what Jonathan got.”

Nigerian Army To Dismiss 4,000 Soldiers Over Boko Haram.

About 4,000 Nigerian soldiers will be dismissed for allegedly disobeying orders to fight Boko Haram insurgents.

One of the affected soldiers has told The Cable that the men are accused of flouting orders to fight terrorists during an operation conducted in Mubi, Adamawa state, in 2014.
Meanwhile, tension is reportedly growing in the northeast as soldiers and their families are in suppressed agitation over the possibility of being axed.

According to one of the accused soldiers, the men will be dismissed without trial.

We are accused of disobeying orders to fight insurgents and also for allowing them to takeover Mubi town the last time. The army headquarters sent signal for our dismissal,” he said.

The source further explained that soldiers who allegedly failed to participate in the Mubi operation were from the second division, Ibadan, made up of 200 soldiers, first division, Kaduna, which has about 500 soldiers, and “some from the third division, Jos, among others”.

The source revealed that about 227 soldiers from the third division in Jos and four soldiers from the Lokoja division had already been dismissed.
“We are now facing a fresh allegation of supporting General Buhari during the last election. We have also been accused of celebra ting Buhari’s victory,” he said.

The soldier has called on authorities to intervene in the matter, investigate it and save their jobs.
However, Colonel Sani Usman, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, has dismissed allegations by saying:
“I am not aware where you got the information from, and I am sure there is no such plan. How can the army sack people like that? There is a standard operational procedure if anybody is accused of anything. First and foremost, the person has to be charged and tried before a sentence will be passed.

“To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing. I do not know where you got the number. Four thousand soldiers? For what?” Usman wondered.

Meanwhile, a group of Nigerian soldiers calling themselves patriotic officers, have written a letter to Goodluck Jonathan. The soldiers accused the president of imposing unprofessional generals on the Nigerian military, stressing that money budgeted to fight terrorists was actually spent arming the terrorists.

Nigerian Army To Sack 70 More Soldiers.

35th artillery brigade of Nigerian army has sack 43 soldiers while brig Gen LM Bello of 34th artillery set to dismiss 27 others.

The soldiers have been sent to their various villages unceremoniously on the basis of desertification.
Sahara Reporters informs that the troops plaid that the accusation is fake.

They have been removed from their base camp in Mubi, Adamawa State since October 28, 2014.
The soldiers said they fought chivalrously, with all their efforts, but concerning to the high strength of terrorists they were overwhelmed and recorded many casualties finally leading to the depletion of their own arms.

After the loss of the 35th Artillery Brigade, the army officials disarmed and moved them to Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, 3 DIV of the Nigerian Military in Jos for further probe.

The soldiers said that they were not given a fair legal proceeding. Lt. Gen Kenneth Minimal, the Chief of Army Staff, was cited to have said that all the dislodged soldiers should be dismissed without obtaining any chance to express themselves.

Brig Gen LM Bello, the Commander of the 34th Artillery Brigade, was said to have set the date of dismissal for the soldiers for May 28, Thursday, a day before the inauguration of the new administration.

“We weren’t given an opportunity to defend ourselves. I’ve spent 20 years in the service of the Nigerian army, I’ve never been accused of any offence,” said the soldier, who did not want to be named.

Many of the dismissals are thought to be connected to the fall of Mubi, the second largest town in Adamawa state.
Boko Haram terrorists took the town in October after clashes with government forces.
It should be noted that the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari may review the death sentences of 66 soldiers separately convicted for rejecting to fight Boko Haram, according to their lawyer.

President Goodluck Jonathan

The report of the 2014 National Conference, Confab has just been forwarded by President Goodluck Jonathan to the National Assembly.

The report was forwarded on May 27, Wednesday for consideration and necessary legislative actions by the Senate, Vanguard reports.

In the report which was contained in a letter to the Senate and the House of Reps, Jonathan reminded the lawmakers that the confab committee was set up to discuss issues that concerns Nigeria with the purpose of finding lasting solutions to them and also to maintain the country’s unity.

According to him, the committee had the mandate to discuss and come up with constitutional arrangement that would benefit the country and also move her forward.

He added that the confab committee was barred from discussing any issue that would lead to the disintegration of Nigeria.

Shortly after the national confab, Jonathan had in September 2014, approved the composition of a Presidential Committee to study and draw up the implementation strategy.

In March 2015, the Federal Executive Council had approved the main report of the 2014 National Conference at a meeting presided over by Jonathan.

Yesterday, Jonathan had urged the incoming administration of Muhammadu Buhari not to discard the report of the 2014 National Conference.

Muhammadu Buhari’s party accuses outgoing government of fuel scarcity in Nigeria, calling it no less than “sabotage”.

The scarcity comes as the result of dispute between government and fuel marketers and transporters over unpaid bills of $1 billion. Since October 2014 they were unpaid the difference between real cost of products and fuel price subsidised by outgoing Goodluck Jonathan’s government.
Recently Tonye Cole, the chief executive of energy company Sahara Group, explained three main reasons why fuel scarcity is unlikely to end soon.

The main three reasons for that are change of government, prospects for removal fuel subsidies and weakening naira. According to Mr. Cole, the combination of these factors will affect ordinary Nigerians in the nearest future.

At the same time, The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) disclosed that the scarcity of fuel currently being experienced in major cities across the country will persist except federal government acts fast to pay outstanding subsidy claims.

Nigeria Lost $32 Billion Due to Fuel Subsidy Fraud – Saraki
Senator Bukola Saraki says treasury drained of colossal sums due to fake subsidy operators.
Senator Bukola Saraki says fake fuel subsidy operators are responsible for one of the most massive frauds in Nigeria. Inappropriate fuel subsidy management annually results in a drainage of $2 billion from the treasury. Saraki claimed to know a simple way to resolve the problem.

Saraki said the incoming Muhammadu Buhari government should urgently remove the fuel subsidies and return to normal deregulated business in the fuel market. He also accused the outgoing government of giving import licenses to 82 shady companies with the sole purpose of draining money from the Nigerian budget. He estimates yearly losses of $2 billion due to the activity of these bogus firms.

“No matter what is happening now, if you go back to look at it, the major issue that dwindled us was the subsidy management”, Saraki said. “We are talking of about minimum of over $32 billion wasted on it over the last five to six years”.
Senator Saraki yesterday cautioned the leadership of the All Progressives Congress against flouting due process in selecting a candidate for the Senate presidency.
