Five Niger Republic nationals arrested for armed robbery have told police detectives that they came to Nigeria to make money.
The suspects, Mustapha Musa (21), Abdulahi Ali (21), Saidi Isa (21), Ali Alisuma (22), Yakubu Adamu (22) and Isiaka Yakubu (23), were arrested by police patrol team at Tinubu on Lagos Island.
It was gathered that the suspects were all working as porters at Balogun Market before they met one Isa Musa from Borno State who introduced them to robbery.

The 2016 all Computer Based Test ( CBT) version of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) would not hold at the University of Lagos centre until March 7. Dr Beatrice Okorie, the Coordinator of JAMB National Head quarters Annex, Lagos, told journalists that this was because of the institution’s 2014/2015 convocation that would start on Monday , Feb.29 with the convocation lecture.

Gunmen kill Kwara poly student


Five gunmen suspected to be cultists have shot dead a second year student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

The Punch correspondent gathered on Wednesday that the assailants were said to have run away after killing the student, whose name had yet to be ascertained. Some of the students of the institution, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they suspected the victim to be a member of a rival cult group.
