Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan has employed the services of an Israeli expert to interrupt the frequency of card readers on election day so as to interfere with election processes, PUNCH reports.
In a statement released by APC National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party revealed that the card reader jammers are able to undermine the effectiveness of a card reader from over 100 metres.
The APC has appealed to those who doubt the credibility of the accusation, saying that all warnings they have made so far, including the postponement of the elections, have come to fruition.

The APC has claimed that the Israeli expert was hired specifically for the creation of three prototype jammers that can be carried in the pockets of credible PDP stalwarts on the day of elections. All of this will be done with the view of interrupting due election processes.
Along with card readers, the devices in question will also be able to interrupt the frequency of cellphones and computers within the given radius.
The APC has alleged that the Jonathan administration has ordered 75,000 units of the jammer at a total cost of $15 million.
According to the opposition, the plan to employ the jammers has resulted in the ruling party being overly confident of a win come election day and has also caused a chieftain of the PDP to urge INEC to make alternative arrangements should the card readers malfunction of election day.
