Students cheat death in Ilorin auto crash.

For divine providence, students identified to be of Kwara State Polytechnic on Monday afternoon narrowly escaped death in Ilorin when a commercial vehicle conveying them collided with another vehicle.

It was gathered that the students were returning from school when the incident occurred.

The incident, which happened at GSS roundabout, led to anxiety among occupants of the commercial car.

The Herald learnt that the shuttle bus conveying the students was coming from Sango direction while the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident was heading towards a road near a fence belonging to the state Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

An eyewitness account revealed that the vehicle had nearly negotiated the roundabout when it suddenly turned to another direction and consequently collided with the shuttle bus, which conveyed the students.

It was also gathered that another vehicle coming from the same direction as school bus was also trapped in the incident, resulting in serious damage to the affected vehicles.

However, our reporter learnt that nobody was injured in the ill-fated incident.

When our reporter arrived the scene of the incident, policemen were seen towing the damaged vehicles away.
